Cathleen Morey, Ph.D., is ISWS’s newest social work volunteer. She is completing the second phase of the ISWS project that began in 2017 in Kasese, Uganda with the NGO, Marjorie’s Fund. She will be training the local staff of the Marjorie’s Fund Diabetes Clinic with regards to interviewing techniques, re-vamping their questionnaire to patients and collaborating with area health care staff, and evaluating Marjorie’s Fund program practices currently in place. Cathleen will also be providing information for the local healthcare professionals as part of an ongoing conference series. Dr. Morey travels to Uganda in March 2020 and will be in-country for 2 weeks.
