Loyrn Kezer

“I led the team in Nairobi in generating and adopting formal Standard Operating Procedures for the work being done at all four locations where we receive refugees in need of support. I coached staff on principles and skills of Psychological First Aid, trauma-informed care, gender mainstreaming, lay counseling, and self-care. Indeed, I am proud of the overarching effect my efforts have had. And I could not have made it happen without the financial support of ISWS.”
Loryn Kezer, MSW and 2022 ISWS stipend recipient, placed in Nairobi, Kenya working with Jesuit Refugee Services.
